Update to this thread.

I have now installed the Pi5 in an official plastic case. Still with the active cooler fitted.

The problems have now all gone away. It works fine with in the plastic case.

The only thing that I've noticed is that it seems to run slightly hotter than with no case. Which isn't particularly surprising and it's not at any level that I would be concerned about. Typically it now sits around 56 degrees, no matter what I do to it.

So; I think that my conclusion has to be that if wireless comms ...and especially bluetooth is important; a plastic case is the better option.
