Indeed you are 100% right, although I would add a sixth, that is that duplicate posts are not allowed, and one of them WILL be deleted without warning, which one is deleted we choose!Well...actually it *did* go against forum policy. That's because it was completely unrelated to anything to do with Raspberry Pis.
Yep.
@OP:
The key rules (my langauge not the leagal Ts&Cs) seem to be:Plus the usual anti-spam rules of course.
- Be nice to each other.
- Keep it kid friendly (i.e. watch your language etc.)
- Don't breach or help to breach anyone's copyrights
- Posts must be related to Raspberry Pi. Yes, even if in the Off Topic sub forum.
- Some operating systems are not supported on here (Kali Linux and Windows running on Pi hardware to name a couple).
Rule 4, above, seems entirely reasonable given who runs (and funds) the servers hosting the forum.
I do not remember having deleted it, but any other moderator might have.
Remember you are a guest here, and the forum owners hold the right to move or deleted posts as they see fit.
there is even one forum called " Assistive technology and accessibility' where the strict rule exists that "this thread is for helping people with disabilities!!! posts that do not belong here will be deleted!" if someone mistakenly posts there about another subject then its reasonable to expect that his post will be deleted, a Sticky on top of the forum warns about this. But note that we are normally not that harsh and the post most often will be simply moved to a more suitable location of our choice.
Lately I see more and more people complaining as if they have a right they do not have, nobody yet has been banned for it, but if this trend continues, there will be bans issued!
Enough talk about this issue: locking!
