That doesn't help much and I don't have a spare Pi5 to reconfigure anyway.
There's at least two problems with that guide:
- config.txt and cmdline.txt are in /boot/firmware not /boot.
- The advice to use rpi-update is out of date and should be ignored. If you did do that it would be a good idea to reset your EEPROM firmware to the default.
As a general rule "refused to work" is insuficiently detailed when troubleshooting.
