Ugghhh.. This is embarrassing... The issue was with the GPIO PIN #. I copied over the wrong python script!
@neilgl: Thanks for your help anyway, I learned something new: that the RPI.GPIO library can still be used for the Pi Zero in bookworm, and that for RPi 5 you got to use a different library.![:-)]( "Smile")
