Apologies
Using crontab to every hour turn off the power saving was the best this beginner could do given the imminent week in hospital which was on my mind.
However the CM4 stopped receiving entries in the MY SQL database just after 13:00 hours on Friday. No one in the house. Previously stopped at 18:00 and 16:00, so time is not significant.
A reboot of the new CM4 and the 3 Arduino's that post to it, restarted the posting.
How do I track down where the connectivity is failing?
Presumably, could be the CM4; the IO board; WiFi or the 3 Arduino's.
My other secondhand 4B continues to work faultlessly rotating through a series of download software and lists of what to search for, then comparing with my NAS and either overwriting the NAS (if smaller) or deleting if not - thus leaving new for me to sort. It is connected by ethernet and WiFi is the only significant difference other than it is on a different floor.
The next part of the project would add a further 2 Arduino's and I was originally planning to use the same connectivity mechanism to store their results in the MY SQL database, since I "know" what I am doing!
Now thinking I should wire through a level shifter Arduino pin to CM4 pin and write some interrupt driven software that on change posts to the MY SQL - sounds bad design, but maybe the only / best option.
What is the way forward for a reliable system for the CM4?
