Thank you for your suggestions. I assumed that it actually had nothing to do with Docker, which is probably wrong. I had also created a netatmo user on the host and thought it was the same as the one in the docker container. In general, my problem with previous attempts at ftp containers via a compose file was later due to access rights problems. I also can no longer reproduce the creation of the current container with vsftpd, as I stupidly did not document my procedure in time. I will try again via a compose file as with my other containers (that's the real point for me: simply restoring a complex server environment) and try to follow your instructions above.
