Does your Pi have a USB going in to the Printer itself, what printer is it, something like an Ender v2?.
The power down that cable could be tripping it up.
With the printer cable disconnected, If you measure the voltage on the 5V/GND gpio pins, you'll see it is fine during use. Should be 5.0 to 5.1V during use.
If you plug the printer in and use it, you may see the voltage on the gpio decreases a bit.
My guess is at some point it pulls the voltage or spikes it during use via the USB connection, causing the 'bolt'
Probably solution is to cut the 5V and GND wires on that cable.
Maybe not, but some thoughts to help you.
