Thought you could manually switch over?There is no Wayland issue. Just switch to X11. And the Pi3 doesn't do Wayland anyway.
But at some point it should become the standard (other Pi staff posts have said as much) and given the speed of RealVNC getting Wayland supported my money is that it will still be an issue
