I didn't buy into RPi until it offered 1GB ram, which at the time could run a desktop system with internet access, the RPi3B, which could also boot from USB, (by changing a bit of code, if I remember, long time ago now). Image may be NSFW.

Do you use the old ones? (or did they have no future)

I gave my 3x RPi3 to a local 'Code Club', along with some other useful bits, as I had no further use for them. Image may be NSFW.
