Sounds like a power issue then, but wouldn't a power issue JUST corrupt the USB boot SSD? Why would it take out the SATA drives connected to the HAT as well?
I went for the WD Green due to it's supposed low consumption and that Pi Hut actually suggested it for the USB SATA converter.
Was going to go NVME for boot drive, but I don't think it's possible to have 2 PCIE HATs both connected at the same time, and I need the multiple SATA connections for the storage drives.
So, back to the drawing board then. Perhaps I to have 2 separate power supplies - one for the disks and one for the Pi/SATA HAT?
