It might be safer, easier measuring a voltage line with a RP2040 or ESP device, these can run of low power and don't need the Pi4 to be online.
These can send MQTT messages, in fact just run ESPhome on them and they're integrated in to HA anyway.
Or get an ESP based power monitoring smartplug, stick it in a wallsocket, rewrite the firmware with ESPhome or Tasmota and have it send messages to HA, you have various methods to know when that plug is offline and then back online as you'll see message saying so and you can use the QOS/LWT for offline.

Maybe some pictures, diagrams will help now what is connected to what.
i have some ESP boards, but I would like to repeat... because off russians attacks we could have even 12 hours without power, does it make sense to use ADDITIONAL device sure with ADDITIONAL power bank to make simple measurement?
