Yes it does - but you need to switch the graphical desktop from Wayland to X11 using raspi-config:...

Once you've done that, you then need to re-enable VNC: Raspberry 'start menu' -> Preferences -> Raspberry Pi Configuration. Open the 'Interfaces' tab, then switch VNC on. The RealVNC icon should then appear on the taskbar.
Bear in mind however, that the ability to switch back to using the X11 desktop may be removed in the next major release of Raspberry Pi OS. Wayland is considered the way forward.
