General discussion • Problems with zero 2 w

I would appreciate some words of wisdom about the zero 2 w. I have been building a robotic car kit using this device and failing to get the zero to work in the car, I finally tried it out of the car. Raspberry Pi Imager recommends the 64 bit OS, so that's what I put on a microSD card. However, mouse movement is extremely sluggish. I was able to set up my wireless network and enable VNC so that I can use my Windows computer to remote in. Then for grins I tried to bring up a browser with no success. Additionally I tried to use SD copier to replicate the microSD card with my changes. I used a powered USB hub in order to copy the SD and after several attempts to even get the app up to use, I was unsuccessful. It just appears to me that the zero doesn't have sufficient capability to run these desktop apps. Should I be using a 32 bit OS instead? My experience to date with the raspberry pi has been with the 4s and 5s with their large memory and with a 1TB USB attached SSD instead of a microSD card ... so, yes, I am spoiled. Am I barking up the wrong tree here? But since the car makers indicate a zero works, obviously I'm definitely missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

TIA,

Bill
