It is not Debian 11 or 12 but RaspberryPiOS based on Debian. On this forum quite some topics with this confusion. Also other large SW like HomeAssistant don't support RaspberryPiOS as there enough examples of experienced Linux users wasting hours or days because the RPI patches/changes in Debian can cause complicated errors sometimes. I personally have learned my lessons and the pitfalls, so not a big risk nowadays if you stick to 64-bit only. But Cortex-A76 can be a reason you need to port 'older SW', in my case older 32-bit virtual machines.
