Networking and servers • Re: Raspberry Pi 5 / RPIOS 64bit lite Bookworm: Does NetworkManager 'read' /etc/network/interfaces

I do most of my fiddling on an ASUS NUC running Debian 12 bookworm. On checking a Rpi5, I realised nm-connection-editor is standard on the Debian release but is not available on the Rpi version.

Question is what is that patch/change in network-manager ? Does it mask nm-connection-editor or so maybe?
I am running KDE on RPiOS64 RPi4 (if non-headless), that has its own applet in the taskbar, same as with other distros using KDE.
