@_space_coder, I hope you choose a solution that is compatible with your capabilities. Here there are embedded folks of all levels of expertise, but not everyone can do everything. Personally I, as a hobbyist used to battery-powered projects, would avoid high voltage and/or high current where possible -- I leave that to professional practitioners who are familiar with the many design requirements. Look for news about solar panel installation fires, particularly large installations -- it's a reminder of the importance of doing things properly when it comes to high current.
There are other options that mostly avoids working with high current circuits directly. If the end use is AC, power measurement is easier. At the battery side, we can estimate the state of charge from the voltage. Such approaches may be rather less accurate, but implementation will be easier.
