I have a raspberry pi 5 8gb with the official power supply and I am also having randoms crashes all the time with a pcie crucial p3 ssd and the argon Neo nvme case. This crashes start suddenly and with literally like 10% of cpu load and I really don’t know how to properly debug this issue. Changing sd/ssd unfortunately is not so easy for me since I am running a casaos server with a lot of app already set, on top of this I ve also having troubles booting (from my ssd) with an external hhd connected through usb wich makes every crash even more frustrating since this is a volume to many of my docker apps. So there is like a guide or something I could use to better understand what is causing this crashes ? Also when you guys say it freezes do you mean for like seconds and then returns to normal ? Because in my case it crashes to black screen totally unresponsive
Yes. A freeze usually resolves on its own, not requiring a reboot, at least that is how i experience it. Once the system is free of intense storage activity, Pi no longer freezes.

A crash is not something that is recoverable. It requires a hard reset. I also had those, but they are very rare. If i were you, i'd be suspicious about a power issue. Or a hardware issue.
