Looks like the availability of a 16Gbye RAM chip is enabling that for the CM5 and the Pi5. See viewtopic.php?p=2272126#p2272126 about the latter.

I’d gladly pay a bit extra for it – it would be an instant buy for me!

Note that you would be doubling the memory over the 8GB version, so it is unlikely to be just a "bit extra".

It looks like the person in the picture has plenty of cash, so maybe a "bit extra" is relative.

In the context of the NUMA patches, will the 16GB model have twice as many zones as 8GB?
