So I have switched over from Raspberry Pi OS to Armbian Jammy Plasma and I can’t recommend this OS with the raspberry pi 5 enough. It so so damn stable. I have only had to reboot the system once since setting it up. Apps never crash. No delays. It is smooth as silk. And really the OS is just in much more advanced a state. Don’t really miss anything from Windows. I do dev work with two monitors, one monitor dedicated to VSCODE and the other usually open to ChatGPT and cli and such. The only thing I can’t figure out is how to overclock? Can you do this one Armbian? Also, it was sluggish until I installed my new nvme hat. That was the ticket to getting to satisfactory performance. So I highly recommend the upgrade. Well worth it. But is there a way to set the PCIE gen up to 3 on Armbian? Things don’t seem to configure the same way as far as I can tell and I don’t see any info online.
