Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • Re: ch341 USB serial devices on raspbian failing

I think that issue was resolved with the 5.x kernel. What type of CH341 interfaces are you using? USB → TTL, or USB → RS-232?

Most CH341 TTL board don't have flow control or RI lines, so something else seems to be interfering with the connection. If you're drawing power from the TTL adapters, they only have a very limited current capacity and will start to complain/reset/misbehave if you try to draw too much.

I've sometimes found that ModemManager gets in the way of serial connections. It might be worth seeing if turning it off makes your connections work more reliably.

Most anecdotally of all, CH341 may not like USB3 ports - but you've already tried with a hub with no improvement
