winforms was historically difficult under Mono, but you've obviously found the right libraries to make it work. Many search engine results will be misleading about winforms and Mono.
To improve your chances of getting this to work on a Raspberry Pi 5, on your Raspberry Pi 3, check what libmono libraries you have installed using:I suspect that the libmono-system-windows-forms4.0-cil package will be a big help.
