Why/What/How are you consider Ubuntu CLI Server? Will try out RPi OS Lite and Ubuntu CLI server. Can RPI and Ubuntu OS interchange configuration file of some "common" software that run on both OS?
Some considerations/questions:
- Which PI are you considering
- 'Lite' does not install a GUI but you still have SSH access with both 'Lite' and 'Desktop'. If you have the memory, install Desktop.
- You can configure SSH access with the PI-IMAGER for both 'Lite' and 'Desktop' along with the WIFI parameters.
- You don't need a Monitor and KB connected all the time for 'Desktop'. ]You can use a utility like VNC to connect to the 'Desktop' from another computer. You can change the boot behavior for access.
- I installed a 'Desktop' version but of course, where it's installed does not have a monitor or KB.
- When I'm at the cottage (where the station is installed) I use VNC on a laptop to access the station.
- When I'm at home, I connect to the station using PI Tunnel https://www.pitunnel.com/. My winter project is to move the station to BOOKWORM so I can use PI-CONNECT 'Lite' to remotely access it.
