Ah VMS! I remember DCL well. Crafted many a script when I worked for DEC.looking through the documentation page and not finding a reference or tutorial on the linux command line interface. I am trying to navigate setting up an application to run on my pi zero 2 w via SSH, and not having a lot of luck remembering all the syntax.
Any help finding basic info, that is aimed at a kind of noob at CLI, though I cut my teeth on VMS and DOS.

If you are programming in Python then you can use Thonny on another computer to run off the Zero. You select a REMOTE Interpreter.
As already mentioned, there's a lot on the BASH shell which is what you are running in. You should also check out the STICKY's at the top of the Beginners forum at viewforum.php?f=91
In terms of syntax and remembering, I have the same issue. I've started a document on Dropbox I can share around. A note book will work just as well.
