most of my day is on youtube, i'll even often watch 2 videos on each screen
Can’t help except to suggest that you run test with Raspberry Pi OS which is optimised for the Raspberry Pi. You will probably find it works much better.

i just switched from raspberry os a couple of days ago
was getting crashes from firefox, the wf-panel-pi, pcmanfm and network manager
so decided to take a break and use something more standard
when i find time i'll probably go back to a lite + task-desktop install for a standard debian desktop.
