But they chose to take advantage of the part of the specification they opted to use. For good reasons. But there are IMO good reasons why they shouldn't have, and more so why they shouldn't stick with that going forward.It wasn't Raspberry that came up with the specification
As I said; it's not about how it is, but how it should be - especially for future products. I am prepared to accept we are stuck with what we have for existing products. I understand why it is how it is. I also understand why some complain about that, or take issue with it.
I am hoping Raspberry PI's partnership with Dolphin Design is part of addressing the issue.
