Well you could always role you own. It's not that hard:

• RPiOS lite (or Desktop with auto login to the desktop disabled)
• MPD for local playback or shairportsync (or whatever it has been forked/renamed as) for multiroom synced audio
• Your choice of MPD client running or your choice of device for control.
• miniDLNA for smart devices
• Samba if you want file access to down/up load files.

You'd probably lack some of the fancy bits you'd get with a paid for Volumio or Plex box but you get what you pay for

I installed RPi OS lite, MPD, Squeezelite, Minidlna, shairpart-syync but I can't figure out how to stream anything.

When I enter the URL of my RPi 192.168.x.x:9000 nothing is displayed.

You don't know if there would be a detailed tutorial on this subject ?
