lxde is only used if you switch to X11
themes are an app thing.
for instance vlc(a qt app) doesn't use gtk, totally different code.
it's something you need to get use to, app designer want there app's to stand out.
in linux it's pretty bad unless you use app's made for the desktop your using.
for example gnome have gnome apps that look the part
kde also does a very good job with there kde app's
but app's that don't belong to any one system(cross platform) kinda try in there own way.
