I'm want to create a small surveillance camera with a Raspberry Pi Zero W 2. I planned on having the video sent to a Raspberry Pi 4 to save the video but I was wondering if the data is written to the Micro SD card before being sent to the Pi4. I'm just thinking that the SD card will get burned out if that much data is being written to it all the time. Can the Pi Zero run a USB SSD drive instead? Can it boot from an external drive or only SD card?
