So the system is running a program called Virtual Here. Basically it’s allowing me to use a small USB keypad wirelessly over WiFi. So there are no databases, no input of any type, nothing to save.
I think the combo of the on/off GPIO button and locking the boot partition might be the best option. If I run into issues I’ll use a backup SD card.
If there is a simple way to monitor the voltage that triggers a safe shutdown I’d be interested.
