That generic tipping bucket as used in the Pi Project weather station and in their older setup, is also the one Pimoroni use with their Pi Zero/etc and RP2040 based setup.
(OK that also has wind stuff).
When on offer it's similar or cheaper than AliExpress, at least for the UK.

That also means you have Micropython and python code and modules for it,?more for Peter.

I have one using a ZeroW setup, and all data is fed into HomeAssistant via MQTT to display and log the data.
