I am new to Raspberry Pi, and was wondering how starting a .sh file on boot works. With a Raspberry Pi 4 B I previously configured, wayfire.ini achieved this without any struggle. However, with the 3 Model B+, wayfire.ini simply does not function as it does with the 4 B. Is there any other way to run a .sh file on boot?
This sounds like the converse of the autostart issue discussed here - viewtopic.php?t=363324
The default configuration of an RPi3b+ board under RasPiOS Bookworm will NOT use wayland/wayfire for graphics as an RPi4B does.
The RPi3B+ will default to the 'legacy'' x-windows-based graphics and associated startup files and tools.
The user-provided guide from the linked post will probably make this clear.
