Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • Re: Can ADV7282M work with RPi4 at all ?

Hi,

there was some delay because of summertime.
Regarding these missing video parameters I have done some experiments and I see now the repeating sequence : they are always improperly set after power-up RPi. Then sending any command of brightness setting doesn't work. But if we reboot Pi (by console command "reboot") then these parameters can be set and the image is OK.
It looks that the sequence of I2C commands which are set after power up boot are different from commands sent after "reboot" command.
I will try to read both sequences passed to ADV in these both situations just to compare them and check the differences. I will let you know.

Another matter is that after start-up/boot with ADV driver activated in config.txt file there is no access to the chip by I2C. Any command sent to this port (eg. by python script what is very covenient for us) results in execution error like the ADV driver loaded during boot blocked I2C communication, so we cannot write or read anything to/from ADV. Is there any way to unblock this port when ADV driver was loaded ?
Best regards
Jacek
