For sale • Re: Pironman case for Raspberry Pi 5 ( a distasteful response)

The problem with the move the way it is done here is that prople do not get PMs/notification saying why.
Also, most forums leave a temporary few days or week redirect, (that can be done here it seems) just be polite so the poster knows it has been moved and can find it. After the few days/week, that link disappears keeping the forum clean.
It does not create multiple posts, it is not duplication.

That is not done here and needs to be improved. Even just a notification of why, but like reports etc the notifications are never given. Even bans do not give notifications of why and it's guess work.

How is anyone ever to know what they have done wrong and learn from it I do not know.

While the mods and admins have every right to move posts, they still should be polite and help the members out when they do so.
Not everyone know the ins and out of the forum and they just know where they posted their post.
Sorry but no such automatic temporary redirect exists here. The only option a moderator here has when moving a post is to have a complete copy staying in place, and as I said copies are confusing.

when bans are given they come with a short reason for the ban, (most often just posting a hidden spamlink) and often you can read a warning in your user notes (click on your user name for a viewing profile, and look under warnings)

Being a moderator is a volunteers job, I have limited time to do it, you cannot expect me to do extra work just because the OP does not know how this forum works, and I do not get any automated assistance like we got in the early days, no automatic e-mails ar any such helpful things. its not reasonable for me to manually warn people where their post went.

I'm sorry for that.

by the way, there is a permanent forum FAQ that says this about finding your own posts and topics.
How can I find my own posts and topics?
Your own posts can be retrieved either by clicking the “Show your posts” link within the User Control Panel or by clicking the “Search user’s posts” link via your own profile page or by clicking the “Quick links” menu at the top of the board. To search for your topics, use the Advanced search page and fill in the various options appropriately.
